Bio

Patty Picco

Patty PiccoPatty Picco holds a B.F.A. in painting from California State University at San Jose. She also studied printmaking for two years at San Francisco City College. She has had over twenty-five years of experience teaching art. Most recently, before she and her husband moved to Whidbey Island, she taught at the Boca Raton Museum of Art School in Florida. Before that she taught classes for the Arts Council of Napa Valley and Sawyer Art Studios in Napa, California.

Patty encourages experimentation and creativity in her students along with developing necessary skills. She feels it is important to pay special attention to each student’s ability, which will help them develop their own personal style.

Patty has exhibited her prints, mixed media, and encaustic paintings in museums and galleries throughout the United States. She is an award-winning, internationally collected artist. Her prints and paintings are represented in major corporate and individual collections. Her work can be seen at the Garry Oak Gallery in Oak Harbor, WA.
