JANET STEADMAN lives on Whidbey Island in Washington State with her husband and son. After graduating from University of Puget Sound, she taught in the area for several years. Janet started quilting in 1983 while living in Houston, TX, and has been totally immersed in quilting for 20 years. Janet has been a member of the Contemporary Quilt Art Association for the past 12 years. Her work has been included in many national and international exhibits, collections, and publications. Janet recently participated in the 7th Northwest Contemporary Art Quilt Invitational. She works from her home studio with a fantastic view of Puget Sound
