Bio

Faith Hagenhofer

Faith HagenhoferFaith Hagenhofer has been a feltmaker for over 15 years, and has taught feltmaking for 10 years, at venues such as Oregon College of Art & Craft, fiber guilds in Arizona, and Weaving Works in Seattle. She creates both wearables and three-dimensional works. They are functional and sculptural, sometimes combining both aspects in a single piece, often with great whimsy. Her work has been exhibited regionally and nationally. Most recently her work was exhibited in a two-person show at The Blackfront Gallery in Olympia Washington, in “ANA 35” at the Holter Museum (Helena, MT), and in “A Twist on Tradition” at Artisans Center of Virginia. She holds a BA from Evergreen State College, an MLS from the University of Arizona, and a Certificate of Craft from Oregon College of Art & Craft. She is working on a non-fiber related commission for the City of Olympia’s temporary public art program, “Here Today…” for August 2008.
