DENIS HILL specializes in panoramic and conventional photographs of Whidbey Island. He moved to Coupeville in 1998, after 12 years of vacationing around the Pacific Northwest in search of the ideal town. After moving to Maine in 2006, Denis returned to Whidbey in 2008. Denis has extensively photographed Paris, France, southern Utah, and Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks. In 2001, Denis earned the Qualified Panoramic Photographer designation conferred by the International Association of Panoramic Photographers. His images earned first place in photography in the juried galleries of the 2002 and 2004 Historic Coupeville Arts & Crafts Festivals and have been accepted in juried competition at the Anacortes and Edmonds arts festivals. His photographs have been published in Runner’s World, Places to Retire, Wings West, Stock Car Racing, the Denver Post, and on National Geographic’s TheGreenGuide.com and WhidbeyCamanoIslands.com. Hill’s work emphasizes composition and emotional communication.
