CATHERINE ROSS is a 32-year veteran of teaching arts education in grades K-12 and as adjunct faculty in several colleges. She has BAs in art education from the University of Washington and Med Lesley University, with a specialty in arts integration, and is a National Board Certified Teacher in art--early adolescent through young adulthood. Cathy became an arts educator when she realized that learning did not always happen for students sitting in rows listening to lectures. Cathy is a member of the National Art Education Association and the Washington Art Education Association. She has been awarded Washington Secondary Art Educator, Washington Art Educator of the Year, and NAEA Pacific Secondary Art Educator. She is a repeat presenter at national and state art conferences. Her work has shown in local galleries as well as the Biennial Crafts Show at the Henry Art Gallery.
