Evenhus, Jennifer - Dancing Brushstrokes - June 28-30
Dancing Brushstrokes – Oil on Panel Jen Evenhus will teach you how to lay your stroke on and leave it. One of the hardest things to learn as an oil painter is to place the correct value and shape on the canvas and then leave it alone. You will revel in laying on the paint thick and juicy. You will learn how to simplify and move elements around to create a dynamic composition, learn the importance of value/color relationships, and become an expert on edges -- the three elements of a masterpiece. You will work on several quick studies each day working wet into wet to complete a painting in one session. The class will offer demonstrations and individual instruction for each student. We'll work from still life set-ups and landscape photo reference.
