Wire Weaving for Weavers In this workshop students will learn how to weave with wire on the loom of their choice (floor loom, table loom, inkle loom). During the workshop, students will learn to manage wire and how to properly dress a loom with it. Once the wire warp is set up, students will be able to experiment with various types of wire materials and gauges as weft, along with other materials. Additionally, depending on the loom chosen, they will be able to explore various structures including twills, doubleweave, hand manipulation, and tapestry techniques. Time will be set aside to discuss finishing techniques. Students should have some weaving experience, as the workshop is not designed to teach how to weave. Also, students should know how to dress a loom back to front. Material/Supply Fee: $35
